Heino Skov
I’m 34 years old - originally from Bornholm, but I moved to Copenhagen in December 1999. I meet my girlfriend Signe (today were engaged) in 2006 and today we have a lovely daughter (Johanne) together. We live in Sorgenfri, Virum, just a little north of Copenhagen City.
I work as a Senior Architect at BusinessMann A/S in Copenhagen Denmark and have done so since December 1999. I’ve been part of building the consultant department and my role today is besides the technical knowledge around virtualization (mostly VMware) also to help develop our project methodology and to coach our consultants on how to act as a consultant.
Since 2005 I’ve been working with VMware technologies and has passed the following VMware certifications.
- VMware Certified Professional - VMware 2.5
- VMware Certified Professional - VMware 3.x
- VMware Certified Professional - VMware 4.0
My company - BusinessMann A/S became a VMware VAC (VMware Authorized Consultant) Partner in 2007. That means that we act as VMware consultant on behalf of VMware. This also means that I have passed several accreditations to fullfill the role as a VMware Authorized Consultant. I have passed the following accreditations:
- VMware Jumpstart Accreditation
- VMware P2V Accreditation (Physical 2 Virtual migrations)
- VMware Business Continuity Accreditation (Backup / Restore and Disaster Recovery)
- VMware Healthcheck Accreditation
- VMware Lab Manager Jumpstart Accreditation
- VMware Site Recovery Manager Jumpstart Accreditation
- VMware Virtual Desktop Manager Jumpstart Accreditation
Furthermore I passed these VMware Technical Sales Professional certifications:
- VMware Technical Sales Professional - Desktop Solutions
- VMware Technical Sales Professional - Infrastructure Solutions
- VMware Technical Sales Professional - Workstation and Lab Manager Solutions
- VMware Technical Sales Professional - Management and Automation
- VMware Technical Sales Professional - Enterprise Desktop Professional
I started on the VMware Certified Design Expert certification (VCDX) which contains four steps:
- Pass the VCP Certification - DONE
- Pass the VCDX Enterprise Administration Exam - DONE
- Pass the VCDX Design Exam - DONE
- Submit, present and defend a successful VMware Infrastructure design and implementation plan - Preparing for the Design defense.
Prior I worked with several Microsoft Products including Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, WSUS, Forefront Client Security and Microsoft Clusters. I still do projects including some Microsoft Products. I have the following Microsoft Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified System Engineer 2003
- Microsoft Certified System Administrator 2003 - Messaging
- Microsoft Certified Professional
I also hold a Citrix XenServer certification
- Citrix Certified Administrator - XenServer Enterprise Edition
Finally I’m also:
- Symantec Technology Specialist in Symantec Backup Exec v12
