Disaster Recovery without Site Recovery Manager
Mike Laverick from RTFM Education has again written a new guide. This time on how to do a manual disaster recovery without Site Recover Manager from VMware - but instead by using PowerShell.
Site Recovery Manager comes with one important feature that Powershell cant help with. That is to test the failover from one site to another - without touching your production environment.

HP announces HP StorageWorks EVA Virtualization Adapter for SRM
HP developed an adapter that enables VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) to operate with HP storage. The HP Adapter provides discovery of StorageWorks arrays, DR group failover and BC snapshot functions for SRM solution.

VMware releases VMware Site Recovery Manager
VMware just released their new Disaster Recovery product called VMware Site Recovery Manager.
This is an exiting product that customers can use to build a Disaster Recovery environment and at the end have the a possibility to test the whole failover whenever the customer feels it neccesary.
VMware Site Recovery Manager is dependent on SAN based replication and on release the following SAN vendors was supported: Dell EqualLogic, EMC, FalconStor, LeftHand Networks and NetApp. More SAN vendors has stated they will be supported shortly after release.
